Sunday - North Palace - Thamel

The last event of the festival was an all-star jam at a cool outside bar in the heart of  Thamel, Kathmandu's tourist district.

All the overseas acts had become friends by the end of the festival and it was cool to hang out and jam together. At one point Mike was playing harp with a rhythm section (Warren on drums and Ganesh from India's "Parachute XVI" band on bass), Australian Jimmy Hocking on guitar and American singer/guitarist, Austin "Walking Cane" taking lead and vocals. Dave and Warren also provided rhythm for Kniki and band, from Australia.

We had to leave early, though, to get back and pack. We are getting picked up at 5.30 tomorrow morning and head off to Chitwan National Park, for an elephant ride, hopefully, and then up to Pokhara for a view of the Himalayas and Annapurna.
